Build Process

  1. Select your plan. This may be an existing David Reid Homes design (we have hundreds of designs), or work with us for your custom layout.
  2. Consultation with the Fraser Coast team to discuss your build, provide approximate cost to build & an explanation of building process for your design & your land.
  3. Enter preliminary agreement to finalise all details for your project, the preliminary agreement will formalise the process & we will prepare soil test, drawings & engineering for your build.
  4. Presentation of finalised build price & all inclusions.
  5. Sign building contract & pay deposit (less preliminary agreement payment).
  6. We commence working on your new home!

Every build is unique
Every build is unique, the design, soil type, land fall & location all impact the building process. We will be able to provide you with any additional steps required for your land at your consultation.

Plan copyright
Any design prepared by David Reid Homes Fraser Coast is copyrighted to David Reid Homes. Any construction drawings provided by the client remain copyright of the client’s architect.

Build timeframe
Our project packages will be completed in a 25 week build schedule.
Custom home build timeframe will be confirmed in the building contract at which time we will have a build schedule prepared.
